I know that both of these players look like a rip-off of the iPOD Nano but they do have some nice features the Nano doesn’t.
The M-Cody M22 is a nice looking player that has a touch panel for the control – whether this works as good as my Nano I don’t know but it has a cool look to it.
Unfortunately it only goes upto 2GB in memory, rats! Pluses? – It will play the standard MP3, WMA and WAV and also OGG audio.
The next player is a Samsung. It’s called the YP-K5 and will range in capacity from 1 to 4GB’s. It will play back MP3, WMA, Ogg, and ASF files. The display and touch controls have a passing resemblance to the old m:robe series from Olympus.
The overall design is pretty slick, including touch-sensitive controls and a screen that nearly dissapears under the blackened lucite when not in use.
And the thing that makes it stand out? Built-in, fold away speakers! I would want them but it may come in handy sometimes.
I vote for the samsung one, got an email from them about the other day – pretty sleak looking.
