I get expired certificate error on Nokia E51 when installing MMSsync by PC Suite

I had to put updated software on my Telstra E51 the other day because Telstra has upgraded the mobile equipment in the field and the E51 would reset all the time (I would get a white screen and then it reset, white screen and reset over and over)

Once I updated the NokiaE51 and all was working again I plugged the Nokia E51 in the PC and the Nokia PC Suite started up. It said Ihow to install mmssync through nokia pc suite in nokia E51 gives error expired certificate needed to install MMSsync on the NokiaE51 for the messaging to work properly.

But, of course, it wasn’t that easy. I accepted the install on the phone but it gave me a “MMSSync Expired Certificate” error. Retried and the same happened. So how to install MMSsync through the Nokia PC Suite in Nokia E51

So I thought about it a bit and this is how you fix the problem and get MMSsync to install on the Nokia E51 (and probably E71, E61, E52)

The fix I worked out is before you update your phone you have to set the E51 phone date to a date between October 2006 and October 2011. I just changed the year to 2010 and left the time and date the same. After the date is changed install MMSSync, it will install for sure. Then remember to put the correct date back after the install.

All done. Simple.

New Pepsi Max Flavour for Australia – Pepsi Max Citrus Oxide

I got an email a few days back – one of these online survey jobs like the McDonalds Family Meals in Australia – and it was all about a new Pepsi Max flavour that Pepsi wants to sell in Australia. It will be called Pepsi Max Citrus Oxide. It is not the Pepsi Max Ceasfire Lime flavour but a completely new caffeine drink.

The flavour seems to be a Lemon-Lime type but has caffeine in it, just like Pepsi Max Cola does and of course no sugar. Well I think it will be Lemon Lime, they don’t actually say what the flavour is, the colour is the same as Lemon-lime sports drinks. Artificial drinks taste awful, they always leave a strange taste in my mouth. I think they would be better releasing a low sugar soft drink.

The survey was all about the marketing such as what label looks best – heaps of different combinations for that and also about a launch competition they will have. I guess they are going after the V8 rev head crowd with the competition prize of a HSV V8 car , there is also $50,000 – I would choose that.

Anyway, here is the label that I thought looked best.

The Most Awesome Sci-Fi Action Movie Ever

I have just seen a preview of what I would think is the most awesome sci-fi action movie ever made. And I doubt that any movie will ever beat it. It is not a Hollywood movie, it is not a Bollywood movie – it is in fact a Kollywood movie (made in Tamil).

This movie is just so over the top crazy that it will surely be a cult movie. Is is good? No. Is it bad? Yes. but just have a look at this youtube of Enthrian and see for yourself. It is a hyper crazy movie that has a strange mix of Terminator, Matrix, Transformers and any/every known robot gone crazy movie ever made. It’s like a  Van Damme Seagal movie on steroids with cyborgs and snakes thrown in.

This ultimate sci-fi movie is about a robot created by a professor in his own image, that falls in love with the professor’s fiancée. Of course it then turns evil. Guns, rockets, robots, bad special effects … it has everything. It is meant to be India’s most expensive movie made, that hasn’t guaranteed that it is good though.

Hey, I can’t really describe it just look at the full length video on youtube. Amazing. Try after the 2 hour mark.

new Aussie McDonalds breakfast meals coming – good or bad

I wrote a little while back about McDonalds Australia wanting to introduce McDonalds Dinner Meals . Well I have another one. They always have had a breaky meal with a bacon and egg muffin , hashbrown and coffee and I think it is $5.95 maybe it’s $6.95. Well the big new deal they are thinking of introducing is that this normal meal will be $5. Yeah I know, not that great is it. They are also thinking of having a coffee for $1, Ok if you are after coffee but Maccas still make 90% on that coffee price.

A lot of questions about these meals were about SubWay, one even asked about the nutrition in SubWay lettuce. I take this as McDonalds are a bit worried about how many meals SubWay are selling – I wouldn’t be surprised that McDonalds starts putting lettuce on some items and saying they are now healthy.

how many articles you need to write for platinum level expert author at ezinearticles

I am not sure how many articles you need to write to get to be a platinum level expert author at ezinearticles but I have written only 11 articles and made that level. I have read that it takes at least 50 but that is not the case for me. Maybe I wrote better articles than most, maybe I was lucky – I don’t know.

What I do know is I got a little Christmas present from them. It was waiting for me when we got back back from a break at Noosa Heads. Gee, the postage would have cost them a bit to get to me in Australia. I got a little note saying Congrats, a notepad, a mouse mat (does anyone use them anymore?) and a stainless steel ballpoint pen. The pen is actually pretty nice – it’s light and writes really well, smooth like a rollerball pen.

If you want read this post on the top 20 article directories you should write for – ezinearticle is number one.

The top 20 article directories that you should use

The top 20 article directories that you should use.

I know a few people that write articles and post them at Article Directories. The reasons they do this is they say it helps their websites get more exposure and power in ranking in the search engines. Of course not all article directories are the same, some are better than others.

I will start with what an Article directory actually is but you can probably tell just by the name. An Article  Directory is simply a website that has, or will have, a huge list of articles that are about all types of things. They get these articles from people writing them and submitting them in the hope that other people will find them and use them on their own websites.

So why use article directories? Well these articles will in turn bring added traffic to you website, a must if you want to make your site a success.  Article directories are growing rapidly, more and more are starting up every day. Because of this you must make sure to submit your articles to a directory that will make a difference. Think about these two points when choosing – what is the sites Alexa page rank as this shows how popular the directory is and what is the Google page rank because this give you an idea of the quality of links.
Anyway, after all this here is a great list of the top 20 Article Directories.

McDonalds To Offer Family Meals In Australia, Good or Bad

I received an email a little while back. A survey asking what I thought about some things that McDonald Australia was thinking of offering. What it basically was saying was that McDonalds were going to have Family Meal packs on offer after 6PM nightly.

It went through options and offers with lots and lots of varying combinations of burgers, fries, drinks and desserts. All were pretty terrible and all were not a very healthy or appetising option. And to be honest not one seemed to very good value for what was offered.

Here is a screen capture of one of the deals McDonald Australia are thinking to unleash on to us.

new McDonalds Australia are going to offer 'special' family meal deals at dinner time - do any of us really whant this.

So what do you think, is this a good idea and is it actual value? I think No for both. I am guessing they are trying to go against the Hungry Jack family meals but no families really want this. I don’t believe it is cheap and where is something like coffee or tea for adults or juice for the kids rather Coke and softdrink for everyone? What about a little toy for the kids, I am sure that would only cost Maccas 1cent or even less (maybe they charge the companies for the advertising that the toys are doing)

Forever Young, me in 70s Australia

Way, way back when I was a teenager in the seventies the big thing was skateboarding. I loved it. I loved hanging out with friends who boarded as well – I guess it was a bit of a club that the oldies couldn’t understand and maybe that is what we liked even more. Actually the recent song ‘Forever Young’ by Youth Group is exactly how I remember it to be in Australia.

Fast forward to now and I doubt I could ride a skateboard any more, well not without losing my balance but my son has suddenly and I mean suddenly is interested in skateboarding and scooters. A few friends of his have them and I am sure this was a major reason why he is into boarding – back to my ’70’s club I guess. I was thinking that maybe he wants to be in the cool club but watching him with his friends he already seems to be the cool leader type.

He asked, on the weekend, to go to a skateboard park so he can skate around and learn some tricks and hang out with the cool kids. A skateboard park, gee, where is one near our house? I had no idea. A quick internet search showed a few skate parks needing only a little drive to get to and away we went.

Well, not quite away we went… first he had to have the skate shoes that needed to be just the right look. So, of course, me being the sucker took him to a few skate shops to start looking. We went to the Globe store – absolutely chock full of the latest skate and scooter gear, my son was almost drooling as we walked in. Dad, look at this cap, Dad look at this board, Dad look at these skate shoes, Dad look at this Razor Pro scooter.

My reply was pretty much something like , “Wow that’s amazing” but at the same time my brain was saying “Wow that’s expensive!!” 🙂 I guess I am showing my age because years ago I would have loved any of this gear; now when I picked up a pair of Globe thongs (flip flops in some other countries) I can’t see myself paying $60 for them when I know they probably cost $2 to make. Another thing my son loved about the Globe store was that the front was a mini skate park. So before the store opened he could practice doing his thing on his scooter and skateboard.

We ended at a Surf and Skate store looking at more shoes and he ended up finding a pair of Kustoms that he loved. Of course they were not much cheaper than the Globes but he liked them better. The next few hours was him lacing them up over and over until he got it just how he likes. One fussy boy!

Now he has the look, the skater look – the right shoes, the right cap, the right shorts, the right t-shirt – now all he needs to be able to do is ride a skateboard 🙂

(btw, I have copied this post. I wrote it at today.com but they locked my account so I am taking this back)

Pokemon Master – A World Record

world record pokemon collector

Just doing a little web surfing and came across the Guiness Book Of Records site. Lots to read there, some interesting, some fascinating, some just weird. Anyway , I found a bit of a weird one.

This woman is called Pikabellechu (not sure what her real name is) and she is one mad Pokemon collector. She has collected more than 8000 Pokemon memorabilia, all Pikachu, even has a Pikachu shaped VW bug – she says its an official Pokemon car – can’t see how unless she works for Nintendo. Wow, ten long years to collect all this and I would think many thousands of dollars as well. She has a bumber sticker in one photo saying “Pokemon Put Me in the Poorhouse”.

Now, my son really likes Pokemon games on his NDS plus some online pokemon games like his one time favourite Pokemon Crater but games and being a crazy collector are two completely different things.

Takes all types I guess and I guess she really likes doing what she is doing.

Googles New Adsense For Feeds

I was just checking my adsense account and noticed a new option – Google adsense For Feeds, it wasn’t there yesterday! I remember reading over at Feedburner ages ago that this was going to happen , well it has arrived.

Ads in RSS Feeds, good or bad? To be honest ads in feeds don’t worry me except for some animated types. One RSS feed I have has certain ads that keep refreshing (something like that) and this makes the page scroll back to the top 😦 – so when I start reading down it pops back to the top again every few seconds, very annoying!

Hopefully Googles version will be fine. You can only have one ad and can choose whether it is placed at the top or bottom. you can also say ads only go in posts of a certain size and every X amount of posts. Also the ads are auto sized – which is good , no huge ads spamming everyone. Not bad at all.

If you want any help about it just ask and I will try. You can also try Google’s help page.
