10 Great Rapidshare Search Engines

rapidshare-search-enginesA lot of people use Rapidshare, and also Megaupload and others I might add, to share files around the world. The only way I have used them is if I have a direct link to the file I am after because how else could you find a file on Rapidshare? Well it is quite easy actually because there are heaps of sites that offer the ability to search through Rapidshare.

I have tried out a lot of them and this is my list of 10 Rapidshare Search Engines. Of course the search is only useful if the file name has the search term in it, if the file is called musica49B you have no chance of finding it. Most, maybe all use a custom modified Google search for their results. You may have a favourite so let me know please.

  • FileCrop searches Rapidshare and you can specify the range of file size – eg. between, say, 30MB and 50MB, good to help narrow down the search.
  • RapidLibrary is a good one. It searches Rapidshare but they also have a MegaUpload search site as well.
  • RapidShareSearchEngine works really well and searches are grouped , meaning similar files names are together. Well done and you can even change the look of the site if you want.
  • ShareDigger is a nice and simple RapidShare serach engine but also can search 15 other file deposit sites as well.
  • Leecha is another multi file hosting search site. This ones feature is that you can tick just the sites you want to search.
  • RapidZero is interesting. It is not a simple RapidShare Search Engine it is a forum that list all Rapidshare links (you can search the forums of course) Really, really good.
  • LoadEvery is very comprehensive with more than 20 sites to search on top of Rapidshare. Once again just tick the ones you want. They also have a LoadEveryLite for a simple interface if wanted.
  • Gappon is nice, simple and neat. Fast too.
  • TotMe is another RS search engine. They say they check 100,000 Rapidshare links everyday so no outdated links.
  • Megadownload is a good choice for MegaUpload and RapidShare files. Simple and fast.

Well that is it, 10 of the best RS search engines. There are lots more but most of the others I tried use Pop-up ads and other sneaky adverts.

Crawlrapidshare.com is leagues ahead of the others if you’re looking for stuff that’s harder to find. (its also very clean and neat)

If you’re looking for common mainstream stuff, crawlrapidshare only looks at rapidshare and takes about 7 seconds to display results. (not the best considering you can use the crappier ones to find common stuff)

Try new service with unique search algorimt to locate rapidshare.com/megaupload files on the internet – http://rifasproject.org . Based on internal library and real time internet search. Part of project is desktop rifas client and Rifas Remote Checker, capable of checking links on remote sites.

  16. November 30, 2009 at 11:44 am

    You forgot Google 😀

“filename site:rapidshare.com” is a good way… any one of the rapidshare search engines that use a Google CSE in most cases do a great job (like http://www.uvrx.com/rapidshare.html ).
Often the ones that don’t use a Google CSE and look like they have no adverts, actually sneak adverts into the search results so that you cannot tell them apart.
People are unsuspectingly sent to the advertisers sites. Very deceptive and dangerous techniques that I hate.

    Cheers

    Hello goldcoaster,

Firstly, I must say that filestube is #1 – but only in the number of indexed files and.. ads, as you said above. As a good ad-free alternative, I’m using http://ask4file.com. They also support more file hosts, but when I search for something, always get 90% of Rapidshare links.
Let me know what do you think about it.

Keep the good work with this blog!

    Regards,
    Czhakis

  29. May 27, 2010 at 8:22 am

I still would add http://www.usemeplz.com Because long time used rapidshare-search-engine, but has now stopped on Usemeplz.

  30. June 7, 2010 at 6:49 pm

My favorite search engine is http://www.filester.net/. Filester indexed more than 2M of files. Filester has most relevant search results unlike other search engines. It’s best 🙂

  31. June 14, 2010 at 6:45 pm
