The whole internet on floppy disk

the_internet_on_one_disk.jpgI posted a little way back a link to download the entire internet – it said it would take 4000 years or so!

Well no problem now, Microsoft have it on floppy – I can’t find a link for it but I am sure some clever person can. 🙂 It is a pity I don’t have a floppy drive on any of my computers so it is no good for me and I am not even sure if it is Vista compatible.

That’s right David. I used 5 1/4 inch ones but saw 8inch ones being used at work!

That pictures was awesome… it could be used as a great marketing tool. I clicked the ‘ok’ box without thinking twice.

Wow, I’ve got boxes full of those little “floppies” now if I just had 4,000 years to sit around inserting and ejecting, inserting and ejecting! Then I would have to start all over on updates!

haha, that made me chukle, and gave me a trip down memory lane…. Thank the almighty we dont have to rely on 50- something Kb/s transfer rate off floppies any more. Most people have a faster broadband access now…

Lol, that’s great. Just today a couple of my friends and I were discussing how long it would take one person to search ALL the internet sites in the entire world. We did a couple of searches on just a few subjects; the results were incredible in their number; and we started thinking how long it would take someone to search ALL these sites. Then, we wondered about browsing every single website in the entire world. Browsing the site would probably take longer than 4000 years (which is just to download.) He he, interesting that I stumbled upon this site and it’s about the same thing we were talking about today!

Howdy! This post could not be written any better!
Going through this post reminds me of my previous roommate!
He constantly kept talking about this. I am going to send this post to him.
Pretty sure he’ll have a very good read. Thanks for sharing!
