I had no idea there were Plasma PC screens.
i was talking about TVs and although specs may say LCD is better in some things, I have found for watching TV, plasma is much, much nicer. And burn in doesn't normally happen even the TV station logos aren't bright enough to do this.
Watching TV and using a PC is a hugely different thing I think.
Refresh rates - plasma is almost like CRT screens - instant.

Ok, so now realizing the differences I think LCD's are far better due to the fact that they don't burn, they run on virtually 0 energy and they produce crystal clear images.

I have two laptops with LCD screens and a 2nd SAMPO monitor with a plasma screen. I can't look at the plasma screen for more than an hour because my eyes start to sting, this is not the case with either plasma screens. This is probably something to do with the refresh rates and how the images are displayed.

The plasma screen can burn, which is a bad point as I use it for messaging so the windows hardly change position.

I don't know about you, but I find screen savers extremely irritating. especially with this web 2.0. You're sitting there watching a lovely film on 'stage 6' when suddenly boom your screen savers loading up.

I've never really thought about it or realized there was a difference :P I love how thin LCD screens can be :) It was a huge step going from a bulky screen to an LCD/Plasma... lol I'm so off to wikipedia.

[...] Goldcoaster asks which one we think is better, plasma or LCD displays. For the computer, LCD is the way to go. For the living room? I have no idea, I’ve never had anything but the CRT type television sets. Heck, I don’t even have a television right now. My wife wants to buy a widescreen TV, which we’ve already seen in a local store, but I have no idea which technology it uses. There’s something about not having the money to buy right now that doesn’t make me want to investigate it any further. [...]
